Hi there! My name is Anna and I have been working with children for the past 11 years! I have been a babysitter/nanny since Highschool, continuing doing so into college. I have always loved kids! I graduated from Gordon College in 2018 with a sociology degree, and I also hold a Masters degree in Moderate Special Education prek-8, completed in 2020.

While working towards my Special Education degree I substitute taught, was a paraprofessional, and I student taught in a  sub-separate room and a full inclusion early elementary classroom, all in a public school. I loved this season of learning from mature teachers, and getting to experience all kinds of grades and working with all different types of students! After graduating with my masters I was led by the Lord to be a Lead 1st and 2nd grade general education teacher as opposed to a special education teacher. This shocked me, but the Lord knew what He was doing! I worked at a private christian school from August 2020-June 2022 in the same postion of a 1st and 2nd grade lead teacher. I was so blessed to work amongst seasoned teachers of the Lord where I was able to lean on their expereince and witness teaching in a Christian school. Being able to pray with and for my students, teach bible lessons, and sing along to worship music together as a class was truly an incredible atmosphere and experience that I am so honored to have been apart of.

Integrating biblical principles and a biblical wordview amongst teaching everyday lessons on reading, math, writing, science, and social studies was and is very important to me. I feel as if in any lesson or situtaion we can always be showing the love of christ no matter what!

I have tutored while being a teacher to some of my students after school in math and reading as well as this past year I was a tutor to a 2nd grade student in math. I met with her twice a week at her home. I love tutoring because having a model of either one-on -one or even a small group creates an intimate envirnoment to really engage with the material and for me to get to know how each student learns, because we all learn in different ways!

My deepest passion in life is following Jesus Christ and adhering to His voice. His grace is sufficient! He has blessed me with gifts of working with children and it is very humbling. Kids are a treasure to God, He says in His word to "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” ( Matthew 19:14).
