And he [Jesus] said to them all, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?” (Luke 9:23-25)
¡Hola! I enjoy sharing the gift of teaching with others, and I am grateful to have found Christian Tutors of America, so I may have the opportunity to share the gifts the Lord Jesus has entrusted to me through an organization that aligns with my Christian values. Regardless of whether you or your child share my Christian values, I am committed to showing you the love of Jesus Christ, doing my best to meet your individual needs through my teaching and/or tutoring services, and honoring the God-given role of parents to be the primary influence in training their children.
I have a Professional Teaching License in the state of Oregon to teach Spanish, English Language Arts, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and multiple subjects. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English (with a Minor in Spanish) from Willamette University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University’s School of Education. In order to continue improving as a teacher, I have also taken 24 graduate-level courses from various universities, attended a year-long Bible program, and completed a 9-month internship serving the Jewish people and Holocaust survivors.
During and after college I spent time in other countries pursuing my education and/or serving the Lord in various capacities. My time in Chile, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Israel and the Philippines has increased my love for all people, regardless of their ethnicity or country of origin. I enjoy using the education and experiences with which I have been blessed to serve students and their families.
I was blessed to have a Christian grandmother who was a loving and constant presence throughout my childhood and young-adult years. She gave me my first Bible and would often take me to Sunday church services. At age 10, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, but it was not until I was 15 that I made Jesus Lord of my life and began to live for Him and others, instead of myself. Since then, the Lord has helped me grow through a mixture of difficult and enjoyable experiences, and He–as my Heavenly Father–has proven to be the MOST loving, constant and faithful presence throughout my life.

Throughout my life, I have been a part of Christian ministry to children, young people and women, as well as local and out-of-the-country Christian outreach to those that do not know Jesus Christ. I am now married, and I am happily helping my husband, as we serve the Lord and others together as part of our church family.
