"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
I graduated from Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colorado in May of 2016 in the top 3% of my class as Summa Cum Laude with a 4.7 GPA. Now, I attended California Baptist University with a major in Graphic Design and a 4.0 GPA. I tutored in 11th-grade fellow classmates for chemistry and math and was paid. However, I often assist many classmates with math and english homework. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping others learn their material and giving them an accomplished feeling of understanding. I also enjoy discussing subjects such as a math myself, and it excites me to share my passion for math with others with hopes that they will enjoy the subject more as well. I have always been a self-motivated, determined student. I maintained straight A's throughout my entire highschool experience simply because I do not like to settle for less when I know I can do my best. I was always the student coming up after a big test and asking more questions, fighting for my opinion to justify the opportunity to earn a few points back, constantly asking questions in class, helping students around me who did not understand material, and working through things on my own until I gained full confidence of understanding. I am grounded in my faith and strive to make it the number one priority in my life. I believe that I am made in God's image, and God is unbelievably intelligent therefore I should not doubt my ability in any subject even if it doesn't come naturally.
I was a paid tutor in high-school helping peers with chemistry and math. However, I have always helped my peers when they were confused throughout high school, and still in college, with math and english in particular without payment. I have partaken in several advanced courses throughout high school such as AP Calculus and AP English and completed both with high A's and a passing AP score.
